Climate
- Thailand enjoys a tropical climate which is influenced by seasonal monsoon winds. The southwest monsoon (May) brings a stream of warm moist air from the Indian Ocean towards Thailand, causing abundant rain over the country, especially the mountainous regions. Be sure to check the weather on the dates of your travel.
Health
- Medical insurance is recommended when traveling to Thailand but not required.
Tips
- Take note that although all tourism workers are paid a fixed salary, tips are used as their main income. It is considerate to tip your tourism workers although it is not required. Tourism workers should only be tipped if exceptional service is provided.
