As might already know Pechuga mezcal is incredible special to the Mexican culture. Usually it is reserved to family affairs and religious ceremony. It is incredible that we are even able to get a Pechuga here in Australia.

This Del Maguey Pechuga is a Minero mezcal that undergoes a third distillation where 100 kilos of wild mountain apples, plums, bananas, pineapples, almonds and even rice are added. Then the magic happens when a whole chicken breast (pechuga) is hung in the atmosphere of the still and a 24 hour distillation process begins. This artisan craft ensures the resulting mezcal is a crystal clear liquid that is not dominated by any one flavour, it is perfectly balanced. This is truly Mexico in a bottle.

AROMA: Nose of basil, lemon, ocean, and fruit.
TASTE: Soft, oily entry intensifies to a medium to full bodied, dryish profile with suggestions of pinepapple pudding, beeswax, bbq hot-rock followed by a creamy, dried grass, brine, paprika and smoked meat finish. A deluge of diverse and exotic flavours that seemingly never ends.
