Bilstein B8 Performance front strut insert for vintage Porsche 911, 912, 914, and 930 — tuned for lowered cars. Inner Threaded Strut Tube, 1505/1160 setting. The four EMPI strut insert variants for these chassis differ by (1) inner vs. outer threaded strut tube, (2) damper setting (2015/755 vs. 1505/1160), and (3) Euro vs. US version. Confirm the configuration on your car before ordering — using the wrong insert is the most common mistake on these chassis.
The B8 is Bilstein's monotube design valved for shortened-stroke applications. On a lowered air-cooled Porsche, B8 prevents the bottoming and topping issues you'd otherwise get with a stock-length B6, while still delivering Bilstein's signature damping quality.
