Charming pair of Victorian photographs of a husband and wife in their original blue velvet frames. They look like carte de visites on paper, but when I opened them up I discovered the photos are on curved glass ovals. Both frames contain a handwritten receipt from the Egyptian Crystal Photo co, and the woman’s photo was framed with a rather humorous note from the photographer: He apologizes for the spot on the woman’s forehead, a flaw that occurred in the developing process. 

Refer to photos for size and condition: Overall good. Velvet is threadbare. Not fitted to hang; both frames have stands to sit tabletop.
