This repair service caters for more substantial damage to the blade of the bat, such as splits, delamination and major cracks, that require more thorough work to restore properly.

At OX29 Bat Doctor, all repairs are carried out in a fully equipped workshop, allowing for controlled gluing, wrapping and clamping so the bat is repaired securely and performs as it should.

When Is This Repair Needed?

This service is suited to bats with more serious damage, rather than light surface marks or minor cracks.

This includes splits through the blade, separation of the grains (delamination), and larger cracks that affect both performance and structure. If left, this type of damage will usually continue to worsen over time.

What the Service Involves

Damaged areas are carefully prepared before being glued, wrapped and clamped to restore strength through the blade.

As per our standard procedure, all jobs are then finished with sanding and polishing, before being fitted with a new anti-scuff sheet of your choice.

Important Information

Add-ons such as toe and shoulder binding may not be carried out if we feel the bat does not require it, or if fitting them may cause further damage. In this instance, the cost of the add-on will be refunded.
