Sunset Beach Earrings!

A pair of unique glass bead earrings. These are handmade from glass with surgical steel hooks making them safe for anyone to wear (hypoallergenic). Super cute way to accessorise your outfit. Would make a great gift or to treat yourself.

Approximate Bead Size: 1cm (can vary slightly)
Approximate drop length: 2.5-3cm (from top the hook)

My lampwork artisan glass items are handmade by myself, Darrelle in my cosy little studio in South Devon, UK. Each tiny bee is made individually and shaped by hand so size and shape might vary a little in each pair adding a touch of character to each bee.   

How it's made:    
The glass is melted until molten using a 1700° flame from a dual fuel torch.  When the glass is hot and melted it acts like honey, the hotter it is the more it moves and drips.  So, when the glass is acting like set honey, I can start wrapping it around a stainless-steel rod and then it's formed using both gravity and tools. Once it is complete it’s put into a kiln for several hours to bake then cooled down slowly, this is how the glass is hardened to make it durable.
