This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug features
a large scalloped center medallion with palmette anchor pendants floating on an
abrashed terra cotta field. The medallion contains a superimposed quatrefoil
medallion surrounded by rectilinear floral vines, palmettes and lanceolate
leaves. Two eight-pointed stars, which are seen to represent faith and
spirituality, decorate the otherwise plain field. The corner spandrels feature
abstract botanical motifs, while rows of large florets line the panels at
either end of the center design. A graceful Arab floral vine border frames the
composition. With its gorgeous color palette, spirited design, and just the
right amount of age wear, this vintage Turkish Oushak rug would imbue any space
with rustic charm and sophistication.

Rendered in variegated shades of terra
cotta, rust, brick red, cerulean, navy blue, royal blue, coffee, sand, ecru,
