This is a 3D printed variation on our previously machined aluminum brackets.

This revised bracket is now available in two different engineering-grade materials: carbon fiber-filled Nylon, or glass-filled ASA. Both are extremely tough thermoplastics that are well suited for this application and still solve the problem that the original bracket was intended to address: preventing the screws from being driven into the hatch and scratching your paint.

All brackets come with 316 (marine grade) stainless steel fasteners to mount the bracket to your car, as well as to mount your license plate TO the bracket. Since a lot of folks do not like the look of stainless steel screw heads, if you opt for the standard ones, you will receive a set of UV-resistant snap-on caps to cover the screws. Alternatively, we also offer black oxide coated 304 stainless fasteners as an option, but bear in mind that these are nowhere near as corrosion resistant as the standard 316 stainless steel ones we offer. We DO NOT recommend these for use on cars on the east coast or in the rust belt.
