This piece forms part of a collection of paintings created on retreat in the rural north east of Tasmania.  Tasmania is full of natural beauty and it felt impossible to capture everything I was inspired by. This collection is my humble attempt.  

It was an overcast day when we visited The Bay of Fires, but I didn't mind. Less sun stops the colour from being washed out. I loved the grey sky against the red rocks and teal sea.

The painting has been finished with a light coat of protective varnish.  All photographs have been taken in natural lighting and all attempts have been made to represent the correct colouring - however variations are possible between different digital screens.
