The ETC SC1008 Branch Circuit Emergency Lighting Transfer Switch is built for emergency lighting applications that require UL1008 transfer of a single branch circuit. It automatically transfers a 20 A lighting load from the normal source to the emergency source when normal power is lost, then returns the load when utility power is restored. This makes it a practical fit for code-driven projects in assembly spaces, theatres, motion picture rooms, and other facilities where reliable emergency illumination is required.
The unit supports single-phase 120–277 VAC input and is designed to work with controlled lighting circuits using Class 2 0–10 V or DALI low-voltage control wiring. It continuously monitors normal and emergency power, uses electrically interlocked break-before-make operation, and includes a field-configurable fire alarm dry contact input. Contractor-focused details such as clearly marked terminations, front access wiring space, and conduit entry from the top, bottom, or right side help streamline installation.
For maintenance and commissioning, the front panel provides a push button test switch, laser sensor test switch, and LED indicators showing normal and emergency power presence. The NEMA 1 steel enclosure with adjustable wall-mount plate supports installed environments where dependable emergency transfer and straightforward service access matter.
