About This Wine
Kosta Browne’s journey embodies the quintessential American dream, evolving from a modest “tip-envelope” venture into a producer of some of the most esteemed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. Founded in 1997 by Dan Kosta and Michael Browne, two friends who pooled their restaurant tips to craft their first Pinot Noir barrel, the brand quickly gained recognition. Michael’s strong grower relationships in Northern California and Dan’s marketing efforts, supported by Chris Costello, propelled their wines to prominence. Their 2009 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir earned Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year in 2011. Today, Kosta Browne continues to explore premier vineyards across California, Burgundy, and Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
