Blea Tarn is one of Lakeland'€™s true hidden gems. Tucked away in a quiet spot north of Coniston Water, it offers spectacular views of the craggy Langdale Pikes. On a sunny day, the mountains reflect their upside-down doubles on its surface. Wordsworth sang its praises as a liquid pool that glittered in the sun€? But it'€™s not just known for its bucolic vistas. A site of special scientific interest, these waters are home to schools of perch, pike and brown trout.
