Nantucket Basket, c1988The epitome of summer! The Nantucket Basket purse, or Friendship Basket, came to prominence in the 1950s when Jos Formosa Reyes revolutionized the form. Ours was made by Bill and Judy Sayle in 1988, lifelong Nantucketers and among the very best basket makers who have been practicing their craft since the 1960s. Topped with a carved seagull, this basket measures 9. 5x7x6", is in excellent condition throughout and has a lovely original patina.
