To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Shachihata presents a special edition of its beloved Iromoyou ink pad series, imagining what this classic might have looked like back in the year 1925.

This limited-edition release combines retro design with Shachihata’s modern ink technology. Inspired by the Taisho era (late 1910s–1920s), the packaging and colour choices take cues from Meisen kimono patterns and nostalgic Japanese goods of the time.

Shachihata 'Iromoyo' ink pads feature beautiful traditional colours of Japan which are traditionally used in Japanese arts, literatures, textiles and crafts. Most of the colour names originate from the names of plants, flowers, and animals that bore or resembled them.

These ink pad feature three elegant shades:

※ Enji-iro (Burgundy) – a rich reddish tone, popular in Taisho fashion.

※ Fuji-murasaki (Wisteria Purple) – a gentle, graceful purple.

※ Sumi-iro (Ink Black) – a deep, traditional black, also a signature shade from the Iromoyou series.

Each colour evokes the mood of 1925, blending old and new to create a timeless tool for your journaling and creative expressions.
