This brand-new complete exhaust system for the Yamaha R9 follows the look of the Akrapovic exhaust systems for the Yamaha R6, R7, and R1, with a design similar to the Akrapovic exhausts used in the World Supersport Championship.

A high-grade lightweight titanium silencer outer sleeve and end cap is combined with a stainless-steel link pipe, headers, and pre-silencer box.

Developed to fit the motorcycle s lines, a pre-silencer is positioned under the body and hidden by the lower fairings, and the silencer exits on the right side for a racing appearance. A catalytic converter is incorporated within the system to meet EC/ECE type approval (Euro 5+). It is supplied with an aluminium silencer bracket, and it delivers a deep and sporty sound.

Akrapovic engineers focused on throttle response during the development process and performance gains in the mid and high rev range. There are power and torque increases of 3.0 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 2.6 Nm at 9,500 rpm, respectively, when tested on the Akrapovic dyno and compared to a Yamaha R9 equipped with a standard stock exhaust system.

The plug-and-play installation means no remapping is required.
