The Star alliance Platinum status will last 4 month after activation, and we can upgrade your own account. We will use United airlines to acquire the Platinum status. The upgrade will takes about 7-10 business days to complete. We cannot issue any refund when the upgrade started. Please plan your trip accordingly. And Yes, if you meet certain criteria, your elite status will be extended.
