Growing up in Delhi in the 1990's was fascinating. Women were beginning to spread their wings beyond the barriers of being a housewife and a mother. This is a sample newspaper Ad from the 80s where the women are modelling a saree. Ladies depicted in this picture are wearing what is called 'Patola sarees'. Sarees in India come from various states of the country but each fabric/design has it's own heritage and history.
