Built on Golden Bear’s classic varsity block, the jacket features a Melton wool body, full cowhide leather sleeves and trim, and wool-blend knit ribbing developed for resilience and comfort. A quilted satin acetate lining completes the interior, paired with a leather welt inside pocket for secure storage.

Premium details include a chenille “T” patch on the chest—drawn from archival Tuskegee athletic lettering—and a felt appliqué “Tuskegee” script spanning the back, a bold homage to the Institute’s timeless athletic tradition. A chained-stitched “1881” on the right-side pocket references the year Tuskegee Normal was founded, while the lettering “All-American ‘86 Division Champs” on the chest are a (not-so-subtle) nod to the three co-founders of Taliaferro Union Apparel Co.  A custom chenille “Union” pennant is adorned on the jacket’s left sleeve. Lastly, an inner chest-pocket label commemorates the University’s recently eclipsed 100th homecoming milestone, inspired by a vintage 1950 Thanksgiving game-day ticket from the Tuskegee–Alabama State rivalry.
