Upon an early morning drive to go to the Grand Canyon West, I ran across this happy antelope buck. I slowed to a stop to not startle the animal and slowly rolled down the window of my rental car to grab a quick photo. Denis, as I now call him, stayed perfectly still, turned his head, and looked straight at me. He is probably no stranger to humans given the number of tourists who go onto the Hualapai tribe’s reservation, but he is a stark reminder that we are just one piece to this huge puzzle on the earth. We cannot and should not ignore the natural world around us.
