Effects of this medicine
This medicine is a loop diuretic which shows diuretic effect by controlling reabsorption of Na and Cl in the renal tubules. It increases the amount of urine to remove excess fluid and salt from the body, and improves edema.
It is usually used for the treatment of cardiac edema (congestive heart failure), renal edema and hepatic edema.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (60 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have: anuria, hepatic coma or decreased sodium/potassium level in body fluids.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
・Please take this medicine during the morning to avoid night urination, when you want to sleep well in nighttime.
