There are many design considerations when developing an air intake system for street and race applications. The process is complex when peak HP numbers are not the only goal; a properly designed system will maximize torque and power throughout the RPM range. Consideration should be given to system volume, air inlet temperature, filter construction, sound and wave characteristics, system weight, and final fitment.
