What is Suntheanine®

It is estimated that almost 65 percent of the adult population experiences some form of stress, and these numbers continue to rise. Since ancient times, it has been said that drinking green tea causes relaxation. A pioneer in the science of green tea - Taiyo stated that the relaxation effect is related to the presence of the amino acid L-Theanine, which occurs almost exclusively in tea.

Clinical studies show that 50 mg - 200 mg of Suntheanine® naturally stimulate brain activity known as alpha waves, which are associated with a pleasant but still alert state. Suntheanine® is a trade name patented by Taiyo and contains the pure form of L-Theanine. Suntheanine® is not a green tea extract, but is produced through a patented fermentation process that mimics the natural processes in green tea leaves, resulting in 100% pure L-isomer-theanine.

How does Suntheanine® work?

Clinical studies have shown that Suntheanine® has a relaxing effect without drowsiness. This showed an increase in alpha waves and a decrease in beta waves in the brain.
