Buy Unlaminated versions of the Ishihara color tests to screen patients for color deficiency. Additional plates are intended to discourage memorization. They do not provide any further testing.

In some jurisdictions, Ishihara remains the required test despite superior results achieved with the HRR test. Occupational and Pediatric applications can jeopardize the cleanliness and longevity of any color tests as fingerprints are very damaging to the color inks.  Richmond’s Laminated Ishihara is intended to address these issues with a protective non-glare coating proven to leave the original ink colors unchanged. This protects the Ishihara color test for many years of use. Further, we’ve used the same spiral binding used on our HRR book to permit presentation of ‘one plate at a time’.
