Description : 

Framed Venkateshwara Swamy painted in Pattachitra Style 23.5" x 33"

Pattachitra art originated in Odisha . These paintings are traditionally painted on canvases prepared by the artist themselves.  The canvas is prepared by coating the clothing with a mixture of chalk and gum made from Guar or tamarind seeds. Then it is rubbed by taking the help of two different kinds of stones and then the cloth is dried. The cloth is then taken out and sun dried. After cotton is dry, a paste of chalk powder, imli and gum is applied on both side of the layered cloth and it is again sun dried. 

Our paintings are usually one-off pieces created by our artist.

Being hand painted this product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections is what makes it special.
