Authentic late 1930s to early 1940s ivory day dress crafted from sheer silk chiffon over a lightweight lining creating a soft fluid silohuette

This elegant piece reflects the refined femininity of pre war fashion combining delicate lingerie inspired details with tailored daywear structure The bodice features a small collar button front closure and a beautifully constructed V shaped panel of pintucks with lace insertion

Sleeveless shoulders are finished with delicate lace edging adding softness while maintaining the clean architectural lines typical of late 1930s design

The waist seam defines the silhouette before releasing into a flowing skirt that moves gracefully with the body

The dress has been carefully restored and remains in wearable condition One tiny pinhole near the back button has been discreetly covered and reinforced I added a narrow satin ribbon at the waist to stabilize the area while preserving the integrity of the garment

This piece can be worn as a bridal civil ceremony dress romantic day dress or styled with modern accessories for contemporary

Late 1930s silk chiffon dresses in wearable condition are increasingly rare especially examples with such refined detailing

Any accessories used in the picture are not included, there are there to show how the outfit could be worn or a decorative object. I need to be honest. I sell Vintage and Antique Clothing and I would say anything before 30s should be treated with care and worn with care. Mostly these items will be fragile especially 20s silk or Edwardian very fine Muslin.  Some can not handle stress and will tear easily. Should be bought a size bigger where possible or should be a little loose on.
