A million years ago during and after college, I used to work for Roots. They might have been who taught me about quality leather goods; Roots used to use only the top 10% of hides, and always used full-grain leathers. Their vintage leather is soft and smooshy, thick, and thanks to the way that pebbled leather is finished, it is naturally water resistant. This particular bag is not one that I am familiar with. I scoured the internet for a name, Roots' website, and even emailed a friend who has worked for Roots for a long time... nothing. While I like to have a name for items, I can move forward and just say that this bag is *ginormous*...Definitely big enough for a weekend away, a business trip, or a trip to the cottage. It's got a removable shoulder strap and top handles, so you can carry it pretty much however you want.

~CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition. I have gone ahead and cleaned it with a pH balanced cleaner inside and out, dried it, and conditioned the leather (which took forever!) in preparation for its amazing next stop in life.
