The Ford Bronco factory coilovers are specifically designed to work within the distance between the shock bucket on the frame and the lower control arm (front suspension), or the shock bucket on the frame and the rear axle housing (rear suspension). Our spring perch collar kit simply preloads the coil, avoiding lengthening the total distance from the top mounting point to lower mounting point.

When you use a spacer to lift the vehicle, you are setting the top of the coilover lower than it should be. As a result, you will fully extend the shock before the suspension has reached it’s factory designed “full droop”, and momentum while continue to pull your suspension down further past the designed load angle of the factory ball joints and CV joints.
