Rei Kawakubo famously once said that "collaborations have no meaning if 1+1 does not equal much more than 2" and in the case of the Nike x CDG collaborations that span over the last 2 decades, this has most certainly not been the case. The partnership began with Junya Watanabe, Kawakubos protogée. In the early 2000s Watanabe would often team up with Nike to produce special versions of their models for his runway shows, which was the case with the Waffle Racer in 2002. The collaboration saw around 5 colourways, one all white, the rest in bright colours. For sale here we have the Team Brown/Black-Bison colourway, the more toned down pair out of the colourful ones. Waffle Racers as they are aren't the easiest shoes to get hold of, let alone these pairs which very, very rarely come up for grabs. Potentially re-glued by previous owner as there are some glue marks, comes with OG all, including dustbags, box (albeit a UK9 one), labels and paper. You will not find another pair!
