French Louis XVI style commode or chest of drawers handcrafted by skilled craftsmen from the Île de France region, circa early 1900s. This beautiful three-drawer walnut commode features a slightly overhanging top with cookie cutter corners above a case of three full-sized drawers having typical circular brass handles and escutcheons. Supported on curved and fluted stiles sitting on turned toupie feet ending in brass sabots.

The beauty is in the refinement of the details of this chest. Its clean lines complement both contemporary and traditional interiors and would work really well in a bedroom as a dresser or perhaps in a foyer or living area with decorative items atop and storage within.
