As we transition into bare tree tops, crackling fires and the nip of first frosts, the slumber and dark days of the seasons are on my mind. Not quite into full fledged winter, this has led my thoughts in the direction of Mother Nature's slumber.. of dreamscapes... Velvet colors, feathery horizons and billowing clouds.

This is one of my absolute favorite designs - ever!

Golden guiding stars and silver constellations dance around three Australian opals. Two crescent moons in the style of antique imagery rest on either side of a teardrop of a magical creation; rutilated quartz placed atop rainbow moonstone. The rutilated quartz provides golden shooting stars which flash across the face of a background of milky clouds cast in rainbow sunsets. Please note: The top opal has a "craze" line. Opal crazing is a type of internal fracture, but this piece is stable and with proper care will not break. In fact, I didn't even notice it until examining pictures.

All stones are genuine and natural. Made entirely out of Fine Silver (.999), Sterling Silver (.925) and brass. This piece measures approximately 2.25" X 1.5" at longest and widest points. It has been given a dark grey patina and then finished with finished with a mix of satin finishes and highly polished details. A size 9.25 resting on a split band. I'm sorry, but I do not offer resizing of pieces.
