The third piece in this collection offers a vibrant and extra large piece of natural, untreated Green Opal. This large jewel can practically glow or become more of a mute mint depending on the lighting. It is absolutely massive and mined out of Tanzania then hand cut by an artisan US lapidarist. If you look at the pictures, you will see dark line across half the face of the stone. This line is not a crack or fracture but is what is called a HEALED fracture. This means, when the stone was forming something caused it to break. It could have been pressure or a large event greater than itself. However during and after this event, this mineral was not done forming. As it continued to form it fully filled in any breaks and healed itself. Healed fractures can not be felt nor are they weak spots in the stone or structurally unsound in any way. In fact there are many stones in which numerous healed fractures give it its signature and desired patchwork look!

Hand crafted out of substantial Sterling Silver with silver holding the stone. The band and underside have been given a bright, brushed finish as to make it a more wearable piece. Jewelry that has been given a high polish has the potential to easily scratch with wear over time while a finish like this helps keep those changes noticeably minimal. The silver around the stone have been given a high polish to catch the light. No dark patina or oxidation has been done. Hallmarks can be found within the band.

PLEASE NOTE: Each item is individual and handmade meaning no production lines are found at Dark Fawn. In this inherent nature, each piece will feature "imperfections" as the evidence of the individual eye and human touch each piece receives; making them all the more unique, ever more valuable and filled with energy. It may be able to be resized by a professional jeweler though I do not recommend it and do no offer any guarantee on the piece once its been taken to a jeweler and/or altered.

This ring sizes as a 10 though due to the size of the band, it best fits a size 9-9.5. I do not offer resizing. It is a single, wide band as shown in the above photographs.
