Great question! The thickness of our newest VW Light Up Emblem is about 7mm. Previously, the thickness of the older VW Light Up Emblem was about 20-24mm, which was too thick for the radar signal to pass through the LED emblem. As a result, the old generation Dynamic VW Light Up Emblem would affect the radar's functionality. This is why we did not recommend installation previously.
