Entropy Blue 02 forms part of an ongoing exploration into the wavelength of colours, in this case blue. Stemming from the artists background in science and architecture, Jelena Donko’s work uses colour at a conceptual level to describe movement – the motion of a certain wavelength. Expressed through the use of acrylic paints on heavy, textured watercolour paper, texture is created by deliberate adjustments in the fluidity and transparency of the relationship between these two mediums.
