Description:
The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", Genesis' first concept album, was released on November 18, 1974. The "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" Tour, which started on November 20 of the same year in Chicago and ended in Besançon, France on May 22 of the following year, was a six-month, 101-concert tour that proved to be a hit despite being a two-disc set. The album was a hit, reaching N0.41 on the U.S. Album Chart, the highest number ever recorded, and was awarded a gold disc. The Rochester, New York show on December 17 of the first half of the North American leg of the tour was recorded for the popular American radio program "King Biscuit Flower Hour," but unfortunately the recording was not used due to recording quality problems. The original master has now been found, along with the master of the Los Angeles show in 1975, and an album version of the show is finally being made. The live performance of the day, including encores, is fully recorded and is a must-have for fans who can enjoy a different atmosphere from the Los Angeles show that will be released together.
