Description:
Velocay of Lebanon"! Farkat Al-Ad's ultra-rare album "Oghneya" ('79), which has been the most desired reissue in the world rare groove/psychedelic scene, is finally being reissued! It is a piece of music that attracts music fans from all over the world. The arrangements are by Ziad Rabbani, the son of Lebanese national female singer Fayrouz and a well-known composer and arranger. The album was a unique release even at the time, combining the musicality of the Arabic tradition with diverse elements of jazz, psychedelic folk, Brazilian music, and baroque pop, and clever lyrics that are both poetic and politically charged. The title track, in particular, sounds as if it could have been recorded by Artur Velokai in Lebanon with a local orchestra. It is a gem that some record collectors have been searching for with their eyes in recent years.Unfortunately, due to the artist's wishes, one of the eight tracks on the original album has been deleted and one track has been replaced with another, but like all HABIBI FUNK label releases, this reissue comes with a booklet filled with interviews and previously unreleased photos, making it a must-have for DJs, record collectors, and Arab music fans alike! This is a must-have for DJs, record collectors, and Arab music fans alike!
