The Chill lounge chair was designed by Nanna Ditzel in the late summer of 1961 and was the first piece of furniture Nanna Ditzel created after her husband’s death earlier same year. The chair combines an organic design language with minimalistic features, and visibly continues the innovative design aesthetic that also characterized the couple’s furniture. Chill brings a wave of relaxed elegance to contemporary indoor spaces. Based on the original design that dates back to the summer of 1961, the reenvisioned chair and stool is a cornerstone piece in a modern minimalist living space. Handmade from the finest Indonesian rattan, skilled wicker artisans weave and wrap the frame into a distinctive wavy sculptural shape with undulating arches that hint at motion. True to its name, the Chill ensemble features a curved, organic shape that integrates body and furniture together for a unique reclining experience.
