Inaugural release of a tiny, boutique production 100% Estate Cab from Howell Mountain: Gentry Cabernet Sauvignon. Limited.

Gentry Cabernet Sauvignon is made by one of the most sought after and highly acclaimed winemakers in Napa Valley, with multiple 100 Points Cabernets under his belt (we're sworn to silence so can't say who or where).  Sourced from three distinct vineyards on Howell Mountain, this wine will surely please lovers of Napa's "Mountain" Cabernets. The vines are both young and old, but the soil and rock bring those ever beloved and singularly Howell Mountain attributes to this wine. Cabs from these vineyard sources are rarely found anywhere in the market. However, this producer wants to ensure that wines from this terroir are shared across the country. Thus, Gentry was born, at a price that enable us to share just a bit of the Howell Mountain magic with our customers.

Tasting Notes: "This vibrant wine shows the power and restraint of Howell Mountain. First, a powerful bouquet of rose petals, African violets and lavender greet your nose. Next, wanting to show its true colors you will find balanced fruit attributes of Bing cherries, plums and cranberries on the palate. A mountain wine at heart, graphite and iron are also ever-present. In an effort to show its youthfulness, this medium bodied wine with lively acidity and inviting freshness finishes with energetic yet refined tannins."
