Female Torso of Venus de Milo, reduction after the famous statue of goddess Aphrodite, intriguing and fascinating since its discovery on the island of Melos in 1820. The ancient artwork is attributed to Alexandros of Antioch, ca 130 to 100 BC. This statue is now housed in Louvre Museum, in Paris.
BONDED MARBLEOur bonded marble sculptures are crafted using a blend of white Carrara marble powder and designer resin as the binding material. This unique combination allows for
incredible detail and precision in every piece. Each sculpture is meticulously hand-finished to achieve a
fine matte surface, giving it a unique bisque porcelain texture.
SOLID ALABASTER BASE Each sculpture is mounted on a
solid alabaster base, chosen for its natural beauty and distinctive character. Alabaster, a fine-grained, translucent stone, is known for its
soft, diffused glow when exposed to light, adding a subtle depth to the sculpture above. Its smooth, polished surface contrasts elegantly with the
matte, biscuit porcelain-like texture of the artwork, creating a balanced and harmonious presentation.
