Bobbed 3.5 gallon (13.2 liter) 2-piece hand shift style tank set is ready to take a 3/8" NPT fuel valve and 1/8" NPT cross-over tube. Install with cam lock style gas caps and shifter guide for your application. Tank has no provision to mount emblems. As with the originals back in those days these tanks require hand fitting and shimming to give correct alignment for Skull or Cat-Eye dash, fuel line fitment and to achieve correct height. It is strongly recommended to test-fit before sealing and painting.

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.

Gas Cap styles
