Paul Simon's new album, "In the Blue Light," features ten of his favorite songs, cool, beautiful, and once again shining through with collaborations and new arrangements by a host of distinguished musicians. The songs on this album are a bunch of oddball songs that, to me, seem 'almost right' and were overlooked the first time around. I rearranged them, reworked the harmony structures, and rewrote the lyrics that were unclear to me, which helped me to get my head straight. What did I want to say, and what was I thinking at the time? I was able to rework them into something more understandable."-Paul Simon In July 2018, legendary songwriter, recording artist, and performer Paul Simon will release his 14th studio album, "In the Blue Light". Producing alongside Simon will be Roy Harry, a close friend since the sixties. Ten of his favorite (if not the most famous) songs from his unparalleled body of work will be reinterpreted with the help of a distinguished roster of musicians.After reviewing the repertoire, Simon selected a number of songs from his repertoire, including "Alone" (1973), "In the Stream of Time" (1975), "One Trick Pony" (1980), "Hearts and Bones" (1983), "Rhythm of the Saints" (1990), "You're the One" (2000), "You're the One" (2011), "You're the One" (2011), and "You're the One" (2011).
