Suitable for both salty old alpinists and future mountaineers strapping on their first set, the G10s set the bar for 10-point crampons.

New-matic crampons demand a boot with a heel welt but not much else - simply toe your boot into the hinged Zytel Dupont plastic harness, tuck you heel in and latch it down with the heel lever, and finally secure the entire system with a pull on the strap. A regulation bar in the center offers easy adjustment according to which boot you're wearing, while the G10's compact size and light weight make it a breeze to toss in your pack.

Every Grivel crampon also comes standard with proactive Antibotts (anti-balling system) in the front and rear. Snow quickly builds up under crampons, producing a "ball" that creates a loss in stability, grip, and safety. The Antibott system - refined and perfected after being introduced in 2003 - allows each step to unload snow through the elastic action of the plates.
