Riv-Nail Application Tool RNAT-60/8-MDA2 is the 8-rivet pattern application tool sized for 60-inch belt widths with a 7/16" (11.1 mm) heavy-duty gauge rod. The 8-rivet pattern is used with R-6, TR-6, and R-8 fastener series for the highest pull-out resistance on heavy-duty mining and quarry belts.

Hammer is NOT included. A 32 oz dead-blow hammer (or similar 1-3 lb well-balanced hammer) is required to drive the rivets.

Why 8-rivet pattern: Larger fastener series (R-6, TR-6, R-8) use 8-rivet rows instead of the 5-rivet rows on smaller series. The 8-rivet pattern distributes load across more attachment points, increasing splice strength to handle belts rated 1000 PIW (R-6) and 1500 PIW (R-8).

Belt-width sizing: The 60-inch tool covers belts up to 60 inches wide. For wider belts, splice in two passes or order the larger size.

Compatible fastener series: R-5 1/2, R-6, TR-6, and R-8 with the 7/16" heavy-duty gauge rod. Not compatible with smaller fastener series (use the 1/4" gauge rod / MDA1 for those).
