Comme des Garçons 2010AW was conceived around Rei Kawakubo’s theme of “Inside Out,” bringing the hidden structures and embellishments of garments to the surface.

Frills, padding, and sculptural volumes—elements typically concealed as linings or internal construction—were pushed outward to dramatically reshape the silhouette. Working primarily in black, Kawakubo blurred the boundary between decoration and structure through protruding forms and irregular contours.There is no padding between the upper and lower sections, the item can be folded compactly.
