Ignacio Prago, harpsichordist. This remarkable recording features Charles Avison's Concerto Grosso, a collection of concerto concertos inspired by Domenico Scarlatti's Sonata for keyboard, as well as the original Scarlatti sonata. Italian music was very popular in England at the time, and Avison himself studied music with Geminiani.
