Rudolf Lutz conducts this series of complete Bach cantatas. The 32nd collection includes two "secular cantatas" instead of "religious cantatas" as in the past: BWV 208 "My Pleasure is Only a Vigorous Hunt" celebrates the birthday of Duke Christian of Weissenfels on February 27, 1713, and was written at the request of Wilhelm Ernst Bach, who was in his service at the time of its composition. It is said to have been written at the request of Wilhelm Ernst, who was in Bach's service at the time of its composition. It is a large cantata of 15 magnificent pieces of music and words in praise of Christian's accomplishments, and features a number of songs sung by soloists. BWV 212 "We have a new lord" is a cantata composed in 1742 for Karl Heinrich von Dieskau, the new lord of a village near Leipzig.
