Li Luchun, is a nationally recognized master of arts and crafts, a distinguished artisan at the Gu Long Kiln Art Center, and a professional ceramic artist. Born in 1966 in the ceramic capital of China, he pursued studies in the Arts and Crafts program at Nanjing Normal University for his undergraduate degree. In 1986, he joined the Chinese Calligraphy Association, where he underwent systematic training in calligraphy and the appreciation of renowned calligraphic works.

In the 1990s, Li Luchun shifted his artistic focus to the art of carved purple clay pottery. His pottery pieces emphasize the expressive changes of ink lines, showcasing a remarkable blend of delicate and robust carving techniques. His works exhibit a profound literati essence unique to purple clay artistry. Having apprenticed under Shanghai seal engraver Han Tiangao and his disciple Cha Yuankang, Li Luchun's purple clay teapot creations have continuously evolved, achieving breakthroughs in style.
