Designed to provide a very dramatic demonstration of the generation of heat by gas under compression, the Fire Syringe is an assembly of a comfortably proportioned knob attached to a piston inside a heavy-walled combustion tube. This tube in turn is housed inside a high-impact plastic outer cylinder that is transparent to provide an unobstructed 360 degrees view of action inside the tube. Cotton at the bottom of the tube ignites in a flash as the plunger is caused to rapidly compress the gas inside the tube. Parts are carefully fitted to provide a tight seal and assure smooth, stable operation. The kit includes 1 Piston Assembly, 6 Rings, 1 End Cap, 1 Combination Tube, 1 Transparent Housing, 1 Rubber Bumper.
