'Then and Now photographs of cities have an honourable tradition, one of the most notable being Douglas Levere's recent re-shooting (from the original sites) of Berenice Abbot's Changing New York project of the 1930s using an identical 10x8 Century camera.
Lee's modern lenses enable him to capture exciting close-up details of architectural and sculptural forms, including the Dorie, Corinthian and Ionic columns of major public buildings. Among the buildings given special attention are the Magistrates and Supreme Courts, the Town Hall, General Post Office, Electra House, St. Peters Cathedral, the Adelaide Arcade and the Beehive Corner.'
