The Vapor Women's is a high-performance technical shoe, obviously. But where the Vapor really shines is in its rare versatility, blasting away on the steeps when toeing onto a credit card or slipping into a splitter while you torque upward for the next hand jam.

Providing stability for long pitches and performance for the crux, the Vapor's stiff platform employs minimal stitching to increase comfort and eliminate hotspots, all while smashing your project. It's a neat trick to match sensitivity with a burly platform, but the Vapor pulls it off with ease. XS Edge rubber holds the line on dime-edges and smears, although the power you gain comes with a small price in sensitivity.

The Vapor's platform and shape won't deform over time, either, thanks to Scarpa's Bi-Tension randing and Flexan midsole, which ensure a moderate downturn and stiffer feel for the life of the shoe. If you're looking for a one quiver pair of climbing machines, you can't do a whole lot better than the Vapor lace-up.
