A gold medal winner at the Royal Hobart Show 2018, this premium tallow is sourced from the suet of free to roam, grass-fed animals reared on Tasmanian soils. You'll find this fat is firm but silky, adding an amazing scent and flavour to your dishes. It has a very high melting point and awesome for searing meat and is an ideal fat for deep frying foods in due to its high smoke point of approx. 250 degrees. Tallow is suet dripping. Suet is a highly vascularised, nutrient dense fat deposit surrounding the internal organs. It is one of nature’s richest sources of conjugated linoleic acid CLA. It is much firmer than regular dripping.

Dripping is made from the tastier subcutaneous fat deposits around the body. When derived from free to roam grass-fed animals it is a gorgeous golden colour, usually quite soft and easy to use.

Both are ideal for frying and deep frying due to their high smoking point at approx. 250 degrees celsius.
